What is Somatic Experiencing?
Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a body centered healing modality aimed at treating trauma and stress related disorders through "bottom-up" processing. That means that rather than just “talk about the issue (top down)”, we learn the language of the body, how to listen to what it needs and how it needs to release activation from your body. Somatic Experiencing supports you in attending to the stored stress and trauma in your body by slowing down and using your conscious attention.

What can I expect?
We will be focusing on noticing how your body is expressing itself in response to your life and environment. That means that as we talk through what’s going on for you, we will slow down and pause to get curious and make space for your body to share what it needs to resolve the stuck energy. As a trained Somatic Experiencing practitioner I am trained to listen and watch for more than the spoken language and will teach you to do the same. We will do this via nervous system tracking and explore how the narrative of your mind and experiences affect you physically and vice versa.
